Autumn Festival of European birds

On Saturday, October 10, the recently opened Keith Morris Environmental Centre – Krupárna hosted a meeting of about seventy admirers of birds. The event was held in the beautiful weather and enriched by the participation of friends from Radkow, a nearby Polish border town.

Preparing this event, A Rocha Czech was joined by AOPK ČR (Administration of Protected Landscape Areas) and the regional government centre.

Visitors were shown the newly constructed large feeder and the ‘hide’, an ornithological observation cabin built according to the British model.

After spotting many bird species, lunch was served for visitors in the multifuctional area of the centre.

Polish ornithologist Paweł Dolata gave a lecture on the life of storks in our border region.
